Sue Tsokris is the Vice President of Global Citizenship and Sustainability for PepsiCo, with responsibility for leading the corporation’s philanthropic efforts and working collaboratively with the company’s Division and Functional leaders to advance progress against the Human, Environmental and Talent Sustainability commitments that are part of its vision of Performance with Purpose.
Sue and her team have developed a compelling global Citizenship agenda for PepsiCo aimed at empowering underserved communities. By focusing on strategic imperatives such as Affordable Nutrition, Clean Safe Water, Sustainable Agriculture, and Enabling Job Readiness, and leveraging the capability of PepsiCo associates, PepsiCo is unlocking long-standing barriers to progress in these communities, and achieving significant and sustainable impact.
Prior to her current role, Sue led PepsiCo’s Global Sustainability team. She served as Chair of PepsiCo’s Sustainability Steering Committee, and her team led the development of success metrics, progress tracking and external reporting processes and protocols needed to ensure progress against the Company’s global Sustainability commitments. In 2011, PepsiCo was ranked #1 on the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) in the Food & Beverage Super-Sector world-wide.
Since joining PepsiCo in 1994, Sue has served in a range of sales, marketing, strategy, and general management roles across PepsiCo’s Food and Beverage divisions. Prior to leading the Global Sustainability team, Sue served as the Vice President and General Manager of PepsiCo Global Business Ventures, and led the Company’s efforts to utilize disruptive technology innovations to develop and commercialize transformational new business platforms with growth potential for emerging markets.
Prior to joining PepsiCo Sue consulted to Fortune 100 companies on strategy development and implementation, process improvement and reengineering and change leadership.
Sue is a member of the Strategic Advisory Board for Physic Ventures, a venture capital firm focused on entrepreneurial ventures in Health and Sustainable Living. She also serves as Chairman of the External Advisory Board for the Yale Graduate School of Nursing.
