Raman Ahuja

Ahuja has worked alongside daily wage workers, farmers, entrepreneurs, farmer cooperatives, company boards, global retail giants, universities, foundations, multilateral institutions, insurance companies, mobile telephony service providers, research organizations, government agencies, & ministries. He has dealt in agriculture products (commodities, perishables -fruits & vegetables), consumer products, & ingredients industries, and over the last 10 years and held leadership roles managing businesses, creating & executing business strategy and building successful start-ups to deliver shareholder value. Organizations include Unilever( 15 years), privately owned start up -FieldFresh Foods Pvt. Ltd (6+ years– co-owned by Bharti Enterprises, Rothschild & Del Monte Pacific), and most recently with one of the largest, privately owned and family managed Swiss companies -Firmenich, S.A., creating flavours and fragrances. Sectoral experience includes working in Agriculture and Rural, Food and Beverage, and emerging modern Indian retail. By working at the intersection of food-water-energy, businesses have had an impact on livelihoods in and around rural India, while delivering profits to shareholders. Ahuja is passionate about creating an enterprise culture that sustains itself, combined with a passion to build inclusive supply chains that generate livelihood opportunities at BOP.
